Our story began in 2005 in California’s Bay Area when Bob Fils saw the need for durable, waterproof audio and video products in the spa industry and founded Aquatic AV to provide this. The ingress of water, heat and harsh chemicals had long been a problem for spa owners, causing severe wear and tear on traditional audio equipment used in spas, hot tubs and other venues where physical conditions were challenging. Working with our talented design team, Fils quickly developed products made from materials that could not only survive, but actually excel in these and other challenging conditions. Immediately, our team made the innovative decision to abandon the standard base for our products, which at the time was an automotive chassis, in favour of using stainless steel and other specially coated metals to guarantee a high level of durability, even in the face of wear and tear from water, chemicals and the environment. Aquatic AV soon became a benchmark in the spa industry and has grown from a small family business to a company with employees in 5 different time zones and over 700 authorised dealers and distributors worldwide. We are proud to say that our products have become so trusted that they are now used worldwide by most spa manufacturers
