JOKER BOAT

Joker Boat – History and the present

1970 origins
Joker Boat was officially founded in 1979 by Giuseppe Aiello, who had started his entrepreneurial adventure a few years earlier under the name EuroNauticSport. Specialising in small, completely handmade boats, EuroNauticSport was one of the first and most innovative boating companies in Italy at the time.

Craftsmanship and quality
The first boats built were entirely handmade. The technology was limited to a neoprene tube and a folding, non-rigid bottom, to be fixed on a wooden dunnage or inflatable keel. Many of these boats are still on the market today thanks to their high quality workmanship. This principle is still maintained today and characterises the Joker Boat philosophy.

The explosion of innovation in the 1980s.
The 1980s saw record sales especially for the Profi 250, 300, 450 and 520 models. This success marked the beginning of the popularity of inflatable boats in the Italian market, ushering in an explosion of innovation that still characterises these fascinating, customer-focused models today. With the Clubman and Coaster brands, the JokerBoat has not only captivated Italy, but the whole of Europe.

1990s brand success
The 1980s saw the entry of the Joker Boat brand with a more attractive and international name. Joker Boat began to take the first steps towards success in the following years. The 1980s and 1990s saw great success for the brand with more than 1,000 boats produced annually.

2020 continuous innovation
Joker Boat started life as a small manufacturer of boats under 6 metres in length called Coaster – boats mainly for fishing and recreation. The majestic Coaster 550 and Coaster 420 remained the flagship models until the late 1980s, when the CLUBMAN series was launched internationally and domestically.

2020 the future of sailing
The Clubman, designed more for families with children, were the first Joker Boat inflatable boats over 6m in length. Innovative and efficient, they dictated and continue to dictate style throughout the segment. From the Clubman 19 to the 35-footers, these were the most successful models for several years and remain the company’s mainstays today alongside many other models and 3 other equally modern and innovative ranges. For two decades, more than 700 boats per year were produced, rising to 1,000/1,100 units per year with the Clubman line; this was made possible by the continuous development of the range following the demands and needs of the market and the development of new series and new models.
